day 12 (day 6 in the UK)
The mission of the day is to buy things that my Germany aunt wanted. We bought 14 餐包, 2蛋卷 and 14肠粉.
We bought tea, too! PG Tips for ourselves. 240 bags, should be enough, yeah.
Then we went back home to cook. The dish of the day is Yong Tau Foo, because my cousins are crazy over it and apparently the ones available in Manchester is shite. We made minced pork and prawn paste to substitute for the fishball, and the vegetables we chose were eggplant, paprika, chili (loads of them because cousins), mushroom (yas), and of course taufu. We cooked sambal petai too!
When we ate, we took pictures and sent them to our relatives in Germany and the US. It was funny looking at their reactions as it was mostly anguished jealousy (we Facetimed them the eating process ohohoho)
My other cousin and uncle could only join us at 12am because they had a shift in their restaurant. I was supposed to take a nap at 11 and wake up when they are here, but my mom forgot to wake me up.
Not exactly a bad thing, as they only left after 5am. My mum had terrible sleep after that, sighs. Worth it, though.
