Picture Update (Bad arrangement ahead!) Part 2

We went to Staufen im Breisgau after lunch in one beautiful afternoon, and my relatives said that I should go because the city is cracking (literally). 


WE FOUND A GREAT COFFEE PLACE AND I SWEAR TO GOD IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL. The antique cashier is 100 years old! 



My mom, my uncle, and no, the German dude and the Chinese aunty (she's actually from China) is not married. He's just naturally flirty. 







Everything is antique there, and it's really mesmerizing. Their coffee is really good too! The espresso is really smooth in the mouth, and their cakes, oh, their cakes. I miss them. 









Cracked town! You have houses that are decorated with roots. 




These are the pictures I took when we went to Roppenheim The Style Outlet, France. It's just an hour drive away from our place, and the scene is pretty! I got a Nike Downshifter for RM120, and the Lindt hot chocolate is so good. The spoon is CHOCOLATE and it's supposed to melt in your hot chocolate. HEAVEN.  




EASTER BUNNIES!!!! IT'S CHOCOLATE BUNNIES!!!! I wanted to buy one for my dad because his zodiac is rabbit, but I remembered Malaysia is an oven. Sad. 



BEST. PORK. CHOP. EVER. Mine is called Bon Appetite. Cheese and ham in between two layers of pork and deep fried goodness. The potatoes are some stir fried stuff and it's AMAZING. Ugh, the fat. No regrets though! 


Nutella pastries made by an aunty and the sunset view from Lidl, a German budget grocer, which is the place we get cheap shit and empty boxes from.

day 7 (day 1 in UK); Part 2

So, Camden Town. When I got off the tube, the first thing I saw was the incredibly long and steep escalators. I was a tad bit timid about it at first, as I was afraid of heights, but I got used to it by the end of the day. Dogs are allowed in the London Underground, which was a surprise for me when I saw the 'Dogs must be carried' sign by the escalators. I saw a few dogs joining the peak hour tube too, and I coo every time. Our first stop in London and it felt eerily like Petaling Street, with shops and stalls selling postcards, t-shirts and merchandises along the street. They play loud music in the shops, and there are people buskering right beside the road or on a bridge, singing with their guitar for a pound or two. We went past a street or two, shuffled past some alleys and steps to find a food-court like place in the middle of the town. The Balance of Neutrality

I've always tried to live up to the standards of being a neutral person, especially one that could look at an issue from different perspectives no matter how uncomfortable it might be, putting on shoes made for someone else. Looking back, my appreciation for scepticism probably sprouted from my early debate days. Among many things, scepticism was one of the most important aspects that my amazing debate coach (who I will forever be indebted to) taught us when we're at the formative years of 14.  I am also glad that despite my horrible memory, these key values were things that stuck with me almost stubbornly along the years.  I've been trying to get myself to understand what is going on in the world.
